Wes Hoolahan

Wes Hoolahan was born in Dublin, Ireland on May 20, 1982. He started his professional football playing career from Shelbourne, in which he scored League of Ireland Premier Division championships three times and performed well in the 2004–05 UEFA Champions League qualifying. Then, he played for the Livingston, Blackpool and Norwich City successively.

In Jun. 2007, he reached a two-year contract with the Blackpool. Nevertheless, Livingston refused to accept this decision, revealing that the Blackpool has not obey the terms of loan agreement. After long-term negotiation but without an agreed contract, they referred to this matter to the Football Association. In the end, FIFA ruled Blackpool’s favor, leaving Hoolahan a regular member of Blackpool.

After served for Blackpool, Wes Hoolahan also played for the Norwich City and Ireland national football team. At first, he played for the Ireland squad at U21 level. In 2012, he won the award of the Man of the Match for outstanding performances in a competition.
